Welsh Beef Steak Meatballs – 1 Star
“These are lovely looking meat balls with a good level of caramelisation and glossy finish. There were fine beefy notes on the aroma which followed through to the flavour. The beef was tender, moist and succulent, and the level of fat to meat was well balanced. Good level of seasoning perfectly judged.”
Traditional Pork Chipolatas – 1 Star
“They have a clean, meaty, inviting aroma, The texture has a pleasing spongy feel and is juicy and succulent in the mouth, we enjoyed the slight bite from the skin. The simple seasoning helps enhance the sweet porky flavour and the level of pepper helps add extra interest. A tasty product.”
Traditional Pork Sausage Meat – 1 Star
“This has a decent porky nose with a firm and non-fatty texture. It is not greasy or gristly. Moreish and pleasing on the palate with some gentle seasoning.”
Unsmoked Dry Cured Streaky Bacon – 1 Star
“This is nicely streaked and caramelised bacon with a lovely porky nose. Salt levels are perfect and the fat to meat ratio is ideal, and gives a juicy tasty mouthful, with satisfying chew, and long finish – very enjoyable indeed.”
