Traditional Pork Sausage & Butter Bean Stew

Our Traditional Pork Sausages are made using only the finest cuts of British shoulder of pork, delicately seasoned for a flavoursome and succulent sausage.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 6 Traditional Pork Sausages
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 celery sticks, sliced
  • 8 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 rosemary sprig
  • 600ml chicken stock
  • 2 x 400g cans butter beans, drained
  • 75g butter, cubed
  • Handful of parsley
  • 2 lemons, zested
  • Crusty bread, to serve

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large frying pan and fry our Traditional Pork Sausages until brown. Once brown, remove from pan and set aside.
  • Add the chopped onion to the pan and fry for 10 minutes until golden brown. Add the celery, garlic and rosemary and cook for 2 minutes. Pour over the stock and bring to the boil.
  • Once bubbling, reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Add the butter beans and cooked pork sausages back to the pan.
  • Simmer for 8 minutes, then stir in the butter, parsley and lemon zest.
  • Ladle the stew into bowls and serve with a chunk of bread.
