Sausage Meat Casserole

  • 350g Edwards Traditional Sausage Meat
  • 1 x 400g tin of baked beans
  • 1 x 400g tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
  • 150g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 40g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 10g chives, chopped

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat a little oil in a non-stick frying pan and gently fry the onions until soft. Then add the garlic then cook for a further few minutes.
  • Add the sausage meat and break up with a spatula as it cooks, until the meat is in small pieces and no pink colour is visible.
  • Then add the mushroom and cook until softened, then add the paprika and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  • Add the baked beans, tinned tomatoes and BBQ sauce and cook for 20 minutes until the sauce has thickened nicely. Serve with grated cheese, chives and some bread of choice.
