Perfect for a light lunch or summer picnic, these Muscovado Sweet Cured Bacon Pastry Twists are irresistibly crisp, sweet, and savoury. They’re incredibly easy to make, but don’t let that fool you. Each bite is packed with a sweet and savoury flavour that’ll keep everyone reaching for more.
Ingredients
- 12 rashers Muscovado Sweet Cured Streaky Bacon
- 1 sheet pre-rolled puff pastry
- 1 egg, to glaze
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190⁰C and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
- Place pre-rolled sheet of puff pastry on baking tray.
- Place the rashers of bacon onto the pastry, leaving a small gap between each piece.
- Cut the pastry between each rasher of bacon. Carefully twist each piece of pastry 4-5 times, then place on the baking tray.
- Brush the pastry twists with the beaten egg and place in the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is well risen and golden brown.
